Vogue 1647 A jumpsuit

This is a Paco Peralta design for Vogue Patterns, his last design. I loved the design from the beginning and after seeing Tany's version I decided to make mine right away. I'm wearing a RTW thermal top under the jumpsuit.


Este diseño de Vogue es el último de Paco Peralta. Me encantó desde que lo ví la primera vez y después de ver la version de Tany decidí hacerlo enseguida. En las fotos tengo un pulover debajo.

I used a rayon blend double knit, one of the fabrics recommended. I made a muslin to insure a good fit and I'm so glad I did. One of my usual alterations is to add length to the bodice but with this design I ended up removing the 1 1/2 inches I had added.

Usé una tela de tejido de punto doble que es una de las telas que recomienda el patrón. Hice el diseño en muselina primero para estar segura de que me quedara bien pues hay que tener cuidado con el largo de talle. Menos mal que hice una prueba pues la pulganda y media que yo siempre agrego tuve que quitarla.

This pattern requires precision sewing when inserting the bias strips in the seams (I used black linen) but if you follow the instructions you should not have any problems.

En este diseño hay que tener mucha precisión al ponerle el adorno en las costuras que son tiras cortadas al bies. Yo usé tela de hilo en negro.

The bodice has a lining

El corpiño lleva forro.

You can make this pattern without using the bias strips on the seams but I really love how they define the beautiful lines of this pattern.

Este patrón se puede hacer sin el adorno de las costuras pero a mí me encanta como define este bonito diseño.

I highly recommend this gorgeous design.

Vogue 2091 Knit dress

I wore this dress the day we went shopping during PR weekend in Canada, I wanted comfort above all else and I got it with this dress. I wore it with a linen moto jacket since it was cool though (sorry no pictures!)


Estrené este vestido el día que fuimos de compras  con PR en Canada. Yo quería estar cómoda y este vestidito lo es. Ese día me puse una chaqueta estilo moto de hilo (había fresco) pero no tengo fotos.

This pattern is now oop and I wish it wasn't because it is fantastic. It has three very different knit dresses and I like them all. I don't know why I waited so long to make this up.


El patrón está OOP y ojalá que no fuera así pues es fanástico. Tiene tres muy diferentes modelos y todos me gustan. No sé por qué esperé tanto a usarlo.

The version I made comes with a cap sleeve but I added a full short sleeve from another Vogue pattern (knit dress). All other alterations are typical for me, adding 1.5 in to the torso, forward shoulder, and blending from a size 8 at the shoulders/neckline to a 12 at the bust to a 14 at the hip.


La versión que yo escogí tiene una manga bien cortica (cap sleeve) y yo preferí agregar una manga más larga de otro patrón de Vogue, tambien de un vestido de punto. Todos los otros cambios al patrón son típicos para mí: agregué 1.5 pulgadas al largo del torso, eché la costura del hombro hacia alente, y empecé con una talla 8 en los hombros, seguí con unad 12 en el pecho y terminé con una 14 en las caderas.

 I also added extra topstitiching. The instructions for the neckline were great and yielded a good result.


También agregué puntadas de adorno. Las instrucciones estaban buenas y dieron buen resultados.

I used a rayon ponte knit and therefore  I did not make it as form fitting as the envelope shows because I knew my fabric didn't have as much stretch. This design has great shaping included in all seams which makes a shapely dress.

Usé una tela de punto de rayon que como no estiraba tanto, me obligó a no hacer el vestido apretado. Todas las costuras le dan muy buena forma al vestido.

Ignore the wrinkles coming out of the armpits, I must have made those pulling my hair out of my face every time the breeze blew.

No se preocupen por las arrugas en la bocamanga. No me fijé que cuando leventaba los brazos para quitarme el pelo de la cara (pues había brisa) estaba haciendo esas arrugas y no me dí cuenta.
