I love taking classes, any kind of classes! When I first moved to Maryland with my first job after college, the company I was working had the new hires in a two week training and I loved it. Once the class was done I started taking non-credit classes at Johns Hopkins University on art, music, history, etc. As I started to get really interested in sewing, quilting and knitting I took many classes. Of course once you master the basics it becomes harder to find classes that go beyond, that is why I'm thrilled with this class!
The first step will be making a muslin. I'll keep you posted!
I am sorely tempted to sign up for this class. I took Susan's couture sewing class in person last summer. While nothing beats an in-person class (IMO), this looks like a worthwhile endeavor.
ReplyDeleteI am tempted too. In fact I would if I was not totally broke. But they will be better times sooner.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy and let us know what you think of it. I would chose the sam option as you : sleeveless with a full skirt.
I am doing this course too and so far I have learned so much. The videos are so clear and the nearest I will get to actually working with someone so knowledgable. I am working on Vouge 8511 which was one of the other patterns recomended.
ReplyDeleteI watched most of the class while waiting for my copy of the pattern to arrive. I don't know if I will actually make the dress but I have learned a lot.
